BMW badge

There is more to the BMW badge then you might think. Before BMW became a car manufacturer they built planes. When they went into the car industry they designed their badge on a flying planes propellers. The blue bit is the sky and the white area is the propeller frantically spinning.

Mazda MX5 minor weight loss.

When the new Mazda MX5 was due to come out a few years ago, the boffins at Mazda thought about giving the new MX5 a weight loss, so what they did was scrape 84g off the rear-view mirror, so if you buy two packets of crisps you've undone their good work.

BMW- kidney grill

BMW have fitted all of their cars with their signature kidney grills. Even the vintage ones, that is partly how you can tell a BMW from any other car. Even though the shape has altered a bit through-out the ages, their cars still have two grills right next to each other.

Mercedes ML AMG with two plaques

A little while ago when the 1997 ML was still in production a man bought an AMG Mercedes ML. When the AMG boffins get a Mercedes car they turn it into an AMG and the main engineer puts a silver plaque on the engine with his name autographed onto it. So this man bought one of the ML AMG's and when the engineer went off for a tea brake, he fell down the stairs and broke his arm. He needed a lot of time to recover so Mercedes-Benz phoned up the man who bought the ML and explained what happened but the buyer said "I don't care, I just want my car." So Mercedes had to get another engineer to finish off the car and to this day, that ML still has two plaques under its bonnet.

Nissan Leaf

The Nissan Leaf is Nissan's first electric car. Nissan say that the wing mirrors on their cars are very large and when you drive along the wind howls on the wing mirrors so because the leaf is an electric car ad should make no noise, they have shaped the Leaf's headlamps so when the wind hits the headlamps the wind is diverted from the wing mirrors and is blown to the side of the car.

BMW is one of the main sponsors, that is why BMW are having a drive to 2012 event. It is open to anyone who owns a BMW. Maybach models

The luxury brand Maybach, owned by Mercedes-Benz, have a very clever way of naming their cars. The two current cars you can get are the 57 and 62. Now 57 means 5.7 meters long and 62 means 6.2 meters long. They are very big cars and if one went past you, yo would notice.

Great days out

If it is the summer holidays or usual weekned and you dont know what to do, why dont you go down to Mercedes-Benz world. It is a great place because you can sit in the entire range of the Mercedes cars or you can go to BUILD which is a 3D experience on how to make a Mercedes CLK, or if 3D isnt your thing you can go to the regular cinema where they show the history of Mercedes-Benz. You can also do driving experiences like the driving academy for childeren or the 4X4 course or if you're a speed freak why dont you try out the AMG course. If you dont like the sound of that you can go to Beaulieu, home to the world of Top Gear.
They are both FANTASTIC places and a great day out.

It has been anounced that Mercedes-Benz are cutting the ultimate limo brand, Maybach, in 2013. Each car Maybach have made, weather it is the 62 or the 57, they have lost £275.00.

Information on the VW Beetle

Now, you might be thinking why am I telling you about the Beetle, reason being is that there is more to it then a cute little girls car. It was thought of by Hitler, he thought that the people of Germany needed a sweet little shopping car and thought up the idea that is now the Beetle. You see, Volkswagen means folkscar. Beetles now adays are installed with a flower holder on the dash-board. That is why you see flowers poking up. Now all you porsche fans listen up, if you go through the ages and strip away the 911 chassis it turns out to bee a Beetle. Porsche is now owned by Volkswagen.
