Mercedes Benz World at Silverstone

Mercedes Benz World is a magical place, and they have extended their magic all the way to Silverstone. The pavilion the reception is based in used to be the F1 centre at Silverstone. Even though the pavilion is small, the tracks are vast. The 4X4 track is very muddy, slippery, bumpy, hilly and wet. Even when the day is hot and dry, the track will still be sloppy. It is very challenging to because it puts you strengths to the test with the forest and the ruts, the step inclines and the nervous hill starts. If the car isn't drenched in mud by the end of the experience, you'll know you've done something wrong. If you have a child that is wanting to drive a car, you could give them and Under 16's experience which I where your child has the chance to do a hill start on the road, park the car, pulling away from a junction, going round a roundabout and managing speed on an exclusive part of the Silverstone circuit. They are also very accommodating at the Mercedes Benz world pavilion at Silverstone because they welcome you and let you play on the playstation and give you drinks. Which ever experience you choose, you will be treated like royalty.

Alan Sugar's Rolls Royce change

If any of you petrol-heads watch The Apprentice, then you will have noticed that between this series and the last series, Lord Sugar has downsized from his 5.8 metre long Rolls Royce Phantom, to a smaller 5.3 metre long Rolls Royce Ghost. Even though he has a different car, his number plate has stayed the same.

Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake 350 CDI

Sorry I haven't been posting lately, it's because my internet connection has been really bad lately so I couldn't access my blog.

If what you want is a car that looks good, goes quickly and will get your kids to school without being moaned at by the eco-mentalists, then this is the car for you. The Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake.

Mercedes-Benz has taken practicality, good looks, speed and luxury with the CLS Shooting Brake. Whilst it can reach a top speed of 155MPH it can also do 47.1 MPG, making this car quick and fairly economical. The CLS 350 comes with a V6 engine costing around £53,000. If you don't want the CLS 350 you have the option of a 250 CDI costing around £50,000 and a 6.3 AMG CLS costing about £83,000. If your budget won't stretch to that cost you could try the slightly cheaper E 63 AMG costing £75,250, but if fast elegance is what you’re after, you should stick to the CLS 63 AMG, although both of them will send your dog hurtling to the back of the boot.

The Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake 350 CDI doesn’t have many rivals because this is one of the first 5 door coupe estates, but if it did, it would most likely rival it's sibling, the E-class estate or the BMW 5-series touring. Although if you want a rival to the CLS Shooting Brake that is slightly more understated than any of these choices, you should go for the Audi A6 Avant.

Therefore, if you want a car that gets you around in style but you can also sling your dogs into the back of, get the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake.

Two diesels are available – this 3.0-litre V6 is our pick of them

Fisker Karmas faulty fans

It has been reported that 2 Fisker Karmas have caught fire due to faulty fans that have been made by a different manafacturer. This means that all Karmas have to be recalled to be fixed. One un-happy owners Fisker cought fire but because it was parked in his/her garage, it also set fire to that which ment the other car set alight too. I would not be happy if that was me.

The main cars will be the new 3 series and the 5 series but more of the BMW range will be used.

We are all enjoying the jubilee but don't forget to think about the homless people out there who at the end of a day of celebrating do not have a warm palace or castle to return to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mercedes B200 CDI Sport

Mercedes ML 63 AMG

Toyota hybrid

In 1994, Toyota launced the first hybrid car. Toyota have been commited to making economic, safe, and reliable cars for a very long time. They are still making profits out of their HSD (Hybrid Synergy Drive) cars. The range consists of the Auris hybrid, Yaris concept,  7 seat prius + and of course the Prius. More and more cars are becoming hybrids or electric cars because of the worry that fossil fuels will die out. Nissan and Lexus are making hybrid and electric cars such as the Nissan Leaf, Lexus RX300/350/400/450/500H, and a lot more.

Audi DOG

This must take some commitment to Audi if you go around spraying your dog with the Audi logo. Imagine walking around with this dog.

The Fisker Karma

Did you know that the Fisker Karma was made by a man called Fisker himself. He was responsible for designing the BMW Z8 roadster and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. the Karma can reach 125MPH and 444BHP. It does 0-60 in 6.0 seconds. The Karma is very kind to nature. it has solar panels on the roof and fossilised leafs near it's electric-push button door handle. Also it's veneer is made of recycled, burnt trees. It is gorgeous and environmentally friendly. What a mix up.

Range Rover Vogue's T.V. screen

Now, looking at the heading you might wonder why I am writing about something so insignificant, but unlike other cars, the Range Rover Vogue's T.V. screen is so different. With most cars the T.V. screen looks the same from wherever you are in the car but with the Vogue the screen is different because if you are using the sat-nav but your child, in the passenger seat, wants to watch a movie, you dont need to spend ages arguing, because from where the driver is sitting they can see the sat-nav but in the passenger seat, you can see the movie. It isn't what you usually find in a car.
